この度デザインギャラリーリヒトでは、東京を拠点に活動するデザイナー、Siin Siin によるコレクション、Zui Connの企画展を開催いたします。

Zui Connは、素材とその生産者への向き合い方に新しい視点を与える家具のコレクション。Siin Siinは、素材を誰がどのように生産したのかがブラックボックスとなっている現状に疑問を持ち、素材の生産者の人間性に着目。木材の製材所を営む主人により表面に施されたテクスチャと、Siin Siinによるストイックな造形は美しく融合し、「さわれるドキュメンタリー」かのごとくそのストーリーを滲ませています。素材や作り手が大規模なシステムに組み込まれその固有性を失っていく現代、彼のオブジェクトは寡黙にも私たちに問いを投げかけるでしょう。

Siin Siinの個展としては初となるこの度の企画展は、作品をご鑑賞、ご注文いただける貴重な機会となりますので、是非ご高覧ください。

Siin Siin
金沢美術工芸大学で製品デザインを学び、日本、オランダ、デンマークのデザイナーや建築家に師事した後、2021年に自身のスタジオを設立。家具など少量生産のオブジェクトの制作を中心に、建築家やファッションブランドとのコミッションワークや、オブジェクトのコンポジションとしてのインテリアデザインも手掛けている。

Siin Siin / Zui Conn Exhibition

Design Gallery Licht is pleased to present a special exhibition of Zui Conn, a collection by Tokyo-based designer Siin Siin.

Zui Conn is a collection of furniture that offers a new perspective on materials and their producers. The textures applied to the surfaces by the owner of the lumber mill and Siin Siin's stoic forms blend beautifully to tell a story as if it were a "touchable documentary. In an age when materials and makers are being incorporated into a large-scale system and losing their specificity, Siin Siin's objects silently pose questions to us.

This will be the first solo exhibition of Siin Siin's work, and will be a rare opportunity to view and order his work.

Siin Siin
After studying product design at Kanazawa College of Art and studying under designers and architects from Japan, the Netherlands, and Denmark, Siin Siin established her own studio in 2021. She mainly produces furniture and other objects in small quantities, but also works on commissions with architects and fashion brands, as well as interior design as object compositions.
