この度リヒトギャラリーでは、フランスはマルセイユを拠点に活躍するデザインデュオ、CPRVの企画展を行います。

引き出しが空中に浮遊するようなKGT Wall Unit、コットンペーパーを使用した幾何学的な照明器具のAPLATなど、彼らのデザインするものは機能性や生産性の観点から非常に理に適い、アーティストの作品のように溢れる自己や情熱を表現する媒体ではありません。しかし、合理的である以上に彼らの作品に心が動かされるのは、素材や色彩が放つ鮮明な美しさだけでなく、プロダクトが生活の中でどのような役割を果たすのか、純粋で知的な探究がそこに込められているからに他なりません。彼らのプロダクトを日常に取り入れることで、使用する私たちにまでものづくりの本質的な楽しさが伝わって来るようです。

彼らのデザインしたプロダクトを中心に、今回の企画展に合わせて特別にデザインされたチェアも展示販売致します。この機会にぜひご高覧ください。

CPRVは、Camille Paillard (カミーユ・パイヤール)とRomain Voulet (ロマン・ヴーレ)によるインダストリアルデザインスタジオ。カミーユはTom Dixon (トム・ディクソン)やPhilippe Starck (フィリップ・スタルク)の元、ロマンはYomeus Design(ユメオデザイン)、Industrial Facility (インダストリアル・ファシリティ)の元で経験を積んだのち、2020年に共同でCPRVを創設。プロダクト、照明、家具、インテリアスペースなど、暮らしに関わるあらゆるものをデザインしている。

Licht Gallery is pleased to present a exhibition by CPRV, a design duo based in Marseille, France.

Their designs, such as the KGT Wall Unit, a drawer that seems to float in mid-air, and the APLAT, a geometric lighting fixture made of Japanese paper, make a lot of sense from the standpoint of functionality and productivity, and are not a medium to express their overflowing self or passion like artists' works. However, what moves us more than rationality is not only the vivid beauty of the materials and colors, but also the pure and intelligent exploration of the role of products in our daily lives. By incorporating their products into our daily lives, we, the users, can feel the essential joy of craftsmanship.

In addition to an installation of their products and studio-based works, chairs specially designed for this exhibition will also be on display and for sale. We hope you will take this opportunity to visit the exhibition.

CPRV is the industrial design practice of Camille Paillard and Romain Voulet. Camille worked with Tom Dixon and Philippe Starck, while Romain worked with Yomeus Design and Industrial Facility before co-founding CPRV in 2020. They design products, lighting, furniture, interior spaces, and everything related to daily life.
