この度リヒトギャラリーでは、ベルリンを拠点に活動するデザインスタジオ、Yellow Nose Studioによる企画展「INDERGARTEN : A Second Field」を開催致します。

建築のバックグラウンドを持つ彼らは、知識や方法論に頼らず、素材に触れ手を動かすことから構造を見出していきます。子どもの目線に立ち戻ることで生まれた「INDERGARTEN (2023)」では、木の角材や丸棒といった素材が、まるで積み木を組み上げるように構成され、結果としてどこか軽やかで、意図を超えた自由な存在感をまといます。

本展「INDERGARTEN : A Second Field」では、初期の探求を引き継ぎながら、その可能性を拡張しています。幾何学的な単位による彫刻的な構築、そして陶器と木材という異なる素材の出会い。「作品の始まりにはいつも感情的な体験がある」と語る彼らは、素材と直接向き合いながら、理性と感情、自己と自然のあいだに境界のない状態を追い求めています。そうした探求の中で自然と立ち上がってくる、ものと私たちとの新鮮な関係性は、習慣的なふるまいを抜け出して目の前の世界に直接触れるための、静かな余白を生み出しているようです。

今回の企画展に合わせて特別にデザインされた新作も含め、新旧20点ほどの展示となり全作品ご購入いただけます。この機会にぜひご高覧ください。

イエロー・ノーズ・スタジオ（Yellow Nose Studio）は、台湾出身の建築家、ホー・シンイン（Hsin-Ying Ho）とトゥン・カイミン（Kai-Ming Tung）によって2017年にベルリンに設立されたスタジオ。陶器や木材など多様な素材の間を行き来して、既成概念に囚われないハンドメイドのオブジェクトを制作。日常空間のあり方を問い直し、彼らの理想とする生活を体現する道具を提案する。

LICHT Gallery is pleased to present “INDERGARTEN : A Second Field”, a solo exhibition by Berlin-based design studio Yellow Nose Studio.

With backgrounds in architecture, the duo begins their creative process not with predefined knowledge or methodology, but by physically engaging with materials—letting structure emerge through touch and intuition. Their 2023 project “INDERGARTEN” originated from a return to the perspective of a child, where simple wooden elements such as square beams and dowels are assembled like building blocks. The result is a composition that feels light, unbound, and free—carrying a presence that transcends intention.

This new exhibition, “INDERGARTEN : A Second Field”, carries forward the original exploration while expanding its possibilities. The sculptural assembly of geometric forms, along with the meeting of two contrasting materials—wood and ceramic—open up a new dimension in their practice. The artists, who say “there is always an emotional experience at the beginning of a work,” pursue a state where reason and feeling, self and nature, no longer stand in opposition.

In this space of inquiry, new relationships between objects and ourselves emerge naturally—quiet intervals that free us from habitual behavior and invite us to directly engage with the world before us.

Yellow Nose Studio was founded in Berlin in 2017 by Taiwanese architects Hsin-Ying Ho and Kai-Ming Tung. Moving fluidly between materials such as ceramics and wood, they create handmade objects that defy conventional frameworks. Their work questions the nature of everyday spaces and proposes tools that embody their vision of an ideal way of living.
